Prepare your artwork to have a digital DNA

This step applies if you're working on new artwork, whether it's in progress or yet to be created, such as a new painting or sculpture.

Open the kit

Open the Native Digital Smart Dust DNA kit and extract the vial of Smart Dust and the QR code label.

Pour the Smart Dust

Open the vial containing the Smart Dust and carefully pour it onto a piece of paper, ensuring not to lose any. While the DNA can withstand a loss of up to 30% of its elements, it's not advisable to lose any before they're even incorporated into the artwork.

Secure the Smart Dust

For a painting, sprinkle the Smart Dust onto the canvas and secure it with a base coat of paint. If you're working on a sculpture or a ceramic piece, insert one grain of Smart Dust at a time into small surface holes, no deeper than 5 mm, and then seal these holes with a suitable material (e.g., filler or putty).

Paint

Complete your artwork on this prepared base. The Smart Dust DNA will remain permanently integrated within your masterpiece.

Prepare your artwork to have a digital DNA

This step is suitable if you wish to apply the Smart Dust DNA to an existing artwork, such as a painting, a photograph, an artistic print, or a sculpture.

Open the kit

Open the Native Digital Smart Dust DNA kit and extract the Smart Dust Label with QR code. The Smart Dust is already integrated in the label.

Kit Content

Inside the packet, you'll find an adhesive label that incorporates the Smart Dust DNA within it. The QR code provided on it will enable quick access to the corresponding NFT.
